Book (Deluxe Edition, Mint Green) by Stik is a 2015 screenprint in glossy black enamel and Giclée on stiff wove paper. This artwork features Stik's characteristic stick figure against a mint green background, embodying his minimalist yet socially conscious approach to street art.
Stik's Book represents a striking example of his minimalist style, presenting a solitary stick figure rendered in bold black lines against a calming mint green background. Created in 2015, this screenprint employs glossy black enamel and Giclée techniques, enhancing the visual contrast and simplicity that define Stik’s oeuvre. Stik's art often engages with social themes, and this piece is no exception, using minimalistic forms to provoke thought and dialogue.
London-based street artist, Stik, is celebrated for his distinctive and minimalistic style. By solely using simple, stick-figures, Stik is able to convey profound messages through his work and advocate for marginalised social communities. Inclusivity and resilience underpin his iconic stick-figure motif, with the likes of Liberty and Single Mum promoting empathy and human connection. Having been homeless when starting out as a graffiti artist, Stik developed an affinity to the Hackney community who helped him find his feet, and he now sees his street art as a way to give back to those who helped him.
